At Artera, we are an AI startup dedicated to transforming cancer care by developing medical artificial intelligence tests that personalize therapy for patients. Data management is the foundation of our work, ranging from the ingestion of gigapixel-scale pathology images to the deployment of complex AI models that guide real-world cancer treatment.
Key outcomes
- Design, build, and maintain the data stores, databases, and software libraries that support our clinical products.
- Establish the vision for our data infrastructure and lead software development projects from conception to completion.
- Own and optimize our data pipelines to facilitate self-service access for our machine learning and biostatistics teams.
- Develop core infrastructure and tooling using Python.
- Collaborate with the broader platform engineering team to manage our scalability and security requirements.
Requirements
- Between 1 and 3 years of professional experience in data infrastructure roles.
- Proven ability to manage AWS relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Hands-on experience with S3 bucket management, including lifecycle policies and IAM permissions at scale.
- A track record of building infrastructure automation using Terraform.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, containerization, and Kubernetes.
- Strong commitment to data governance and the secure handling of sensitive information.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, self-starting mindset.
- Fluency in English.
