What is this role?

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team in a full-time capacity. This is a hybrid role that requires you to be based within a commutable distance of our San Francisco or New York City offices, with an expectation of being on-site two days per week. We value high agency and a customer-first mindset, looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment where solving real user problems is the top priority.

What will you do?

• Build and maintain features across our entire stack, including React, Redux, Ruby on Rails, and Postgres, with opportunities to work in Scala, Python, and Go.
• Collaborate daily with product managers, designers, and operations teams to shape our product direction and solve complex technical challenges.
• Mentor fellow engineers and contribute to a culture of psychological safety, helping our team grow while participating in our hiring and interview processes.

What makes you a great fit?

You have at least three years of professional experience as a software engineer and a strong grasp of SaaS business fundamentals. We are looking for someone who understands how their technical contributions impact metrics like customer acquisition costs and recurring revenue. Ideally, you have experience working in a high-growth, venture-backed startup environment or have previously founded a company. While we believe great engineering is stack-agnostic, having prior experience with our specific technologies will help you ramp up quickly. You should be comfortable communicating in English and eager to dive into every layer of our architecture.
