The role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our expanding Product Development team on a full-time basis. This is a hybrid role based in the Netherlands where you will collaborate closely with other engineers to design, build, and maintain the software that powers our innovative hardware systems. You will play a vital role in our technical strategy, ensuring our software remains robust as we scale our industrial solutions.

Core responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain backend and frontend software, including custom tools, primarily using Python.
• Design scalable software architecture and conduct code reviews to ensure long-term maintainability and high quality.
• Mentor team members and interns while actively participating in our Agile workflow to drive project ownership.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong technical background and a collaborative mindset.

• A Bachelor’s degree or HBO-equivalent in computer engineering or a related technical field.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in software engineering, with a deep proficiency in Python and object-oriented programming.
• Hands-on experience with test automation and modern development tools like Git, GitLab, VSCode, and Puppet.
• A strong affinity for natural sciences and the ability to communicate effectively in English.
• A detail-oriented approach to problem-solving and a proven ability to manage multiple technical priorities.
