The role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. In this role, you will be a key contributor to the systems and products that power our financial platform. You will collaborate closely with product managers and fellow engineers to turn ambitious visions into reliable, high-quality features that directly improve our customers' financial well-being.

Core responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, robust backend systems and APIs to support our growing suite of financial products.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ship code, solve complex technical challenges, and maintain thorough documentation to support our distributed workforce.
• Tackle unique problems related to real-world money movement and sensitive financial data, ensuring our infrastructure remains secure and performant as we scale.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong background in backend engineering and a passion for building high-impact products. We value candidates who bring the following:

• At least 5 years of professional experience in product-focused backend development.
• Proven ability to architect, maintain, and optimize complex APIs.
• Proficiency or a strong willingness to work with our core stack, which includes Node.js, TypeScript, and NestJS within a microservices architecture.
• Experience working with Kubernetes and AWS infrastructure.
• A proactive, builder-first mindset with a curiosity for modern development tools.
• The ability to communicate effectively in English.
