The opportunity

As a Software Engineer, you will play a significant role in our early-stage company. You will help define new product features, build consumer-facing marketplace technologies, and influence our system architecture to ensure we deliver a high-quality experience for our users. We use a modern tech stack including TypeScript, React, Ruby on Rails, Go, and AWS to power our marketplace. We are looking for someone who truly enjoys the fast-paced, hands-on nature of a startup environment and is ready to help us scale.

A day in the life

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain the core systems that power the Neighbor marketplace.
• Produce high-quality software that directly improves the experience for our renters and hosts.
• Take ownership of project priorities, manage your own deadlines, and ensure successful delivery of key features.

Who you are

You are a motivated engineer with a passion for building great products. You have at least one year of full-time software development experience and a solid grasp of computer science fundamentals. We value your ability to learn new things quickly and your track record of shipping reliable code. You are comfortable wearing many hats, you bring a positive attitude to our team, and you are ready to work on-site at our Lehi, Utah location. While not required, we would love to hear about your experience with React, Ruby on Rails, AWS, TypeScript, Go, or PostgreSQL. If you have experience with DevOps, Machine Learning, or Data Science, or if you have stepped into technical leadership roles in the past, please let us know.
