The opportunity
We are searching for a Senior Software Engineer to join our dedicated Web Crawling team. In this role, you will be the engine behind our data collection efforts, ensuring that we can gather high-quality information at scale. You will work in a fully remote environment, collaborating closely with our application teams to design and refine the systems that keep our data pipelines flowing smoothly. Since data is the core of our product, your work will have a direct and measurable impact on our customers and our overall growth.
A day in the life
- You will build, maintain, and scale our web crawlers, ensuring they remain efficient and reliable as our data needs evolve.
- You will tackle complex technical hurdles by applying reverse engineering techniques and optimizing our scrapers to bypass anti-bot measures while maintaining high performance.
- You will collaborate with our distributed engineering team to integrate AI-driven solutions that improve the accuracy and automation of our data extraction processes.
Who you are
You are a seasoned engineer with at least 3 years of professional experience specifically in the web crawling and data extraction space. You feel right at home working with Node.js, and you possess a deep understanding of HTML and JavaScript. You are comfortable using tools like Playwright and Puppeteer to automate browser interactions, and you always keep security best practices in mind when designing your code. You communicate effectively in English and enjoy solving the intricate puzzles that come with scraping data at scale.
