The opportunity

We are searching for a Software Engineer Team Lead to guide a group of up to six talented engineers. This is a unique position for a senior professional who wants to shape our technical direction and system architecture while staying deeply involved in the actual coding process. You will play a vital role in delivering complex features that help our customers streamline their drilling operations, all while fostering a supportive and growth-oriented culture within our engineering team.

A day in the life

• You will lead the end-to-end design and delivery of high-performance features, working closely with our product and design teams to create seamless solutions.
• You will architect and maintain scalable backend services, APIs, and data models that handle critical operational drilling data using technologies like Node.js, Python, and PostgreSQL.
• You will act as a mentor to your team, setting technical standards and driving best practices across our entire codebase and cloud infrastructure.

Who you are

You are a seasoned developer with at least 5 years of professional experience, including a minimum of 2 years in a technical leadership capacity. You hold a degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or possess equivalent practical experience. You communicate clearly, whether you are discussing technical architecture with your peers or explaining complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Your background includes working in B2B SaaS environments, and you have a proven track record of scaling software products. You are comfortable working with our stack, which includes TypeScript, Python, React, Next.js, and AWS, and you have experience managing relational databases at scale.
