About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team in a full-time capacity. In this System Integration role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining highly reliable data integrations that empower our clients. You will work closely with our broader engineering and data teams to ensure our pipelines are performant, cost-effective, and scalable as we continue to grow our impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain robust data integrations while optimizing ETL processes, database performance, and API connections.
- Design, implement, and monitor data pipelines to ensure the highest standards of data quality and integrity.
- Act as a subject matter expert by providing technical guidance to team members and communicating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in systems engineering and data integration. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of professional experience in software development or data engineering.
- Proficiency in Python and experience working with PostgreSQL, Docker, and cloud platforms like AWS or GCP.
- Hands-on experience with data pipeline tools such as Airflow or Apache Kafka.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients to gather requirements and manage expectations.
- Applicants must have legal authorization to work and currently reside in South Africa or Uganda.

This position is a hybrid role based in South Africa or Uganda.
