The opportunity

As a Senior Software Engineer, Product Facing, you will turn product ideas into reliable, customer-facing systems that millions of people use to manage their money. Your code will power new features, APIs, and services that directly shape how our users save, spend, borrow, and invest. You will sit at the intersection of product, design, and engineering, making sure every release is both ambitious and dependable in a fast-moving, fully remote environment.

A day in the life

• You pair with product managers and fellow engineers to scope, build, and ship new product capabilities from initial design through production.

• You architect and refine backend services that handle real money movement and sensitive financial data, always keeping scalability and reliability front of mind.

• You write and maintain clear documentation so the entire remote team can move quickly and stay aligned as we grow.

Who you are

You bring at least five years of professional experience building and shipping product-facing backend systems. You have a proven record of delivering high-impact features that reach real users, and you are comfortable designing, building, and optimizing APIs. You are curious about emerging AI tooling and already use tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or Claude to accelerate your work. You thrive in environments where everyone acts as a builder and executor, and you communicate clearly in English across a distributed team.

While you do not need prior experience with our exact stack, familiarity with modern engineering practices will help you ramp up quickly. Our backend runs on Node and TypeScript with the NestJS framework inside a microservices architecture on Kubernetes and AWS. On the client side, we ship features for iOS, Android, and web using React Native.
