Role at a glance

We are seeking a Mid-Level Software Engineer to join our Network team on a full-time basis. This is a hybrid role, and while we operate as a distributed team across the United States, we are currently prioritizing candidates based in the San Francisco Bay Area who value in-person collaboration and are comfortable working from our office a few days each week.

Your impact

• Take ownership of the architecture and execution of our insurance carrier integrations, ensuring they are delivered with high quality and speed.
• Focus on building our core product by solving complex problems rather than just implementing pre-defined solutions.
• Enhance the performance, reliability, and scalability of our systems to support our continued business growth and evolving customer needs.

What you'll need

• At least 3 years of professional full-time engineering experience, ideally with a background in building modern web applications.
• A strong grasp of Agile methodologies, continuous integration, and rigorous production-level logging and monitoring.
• The ability to balance risk, speed, and quality throughout the development lifecycle.
• Fluency in English and a willingness to work with our modern tech stack, which includes Python, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Google Cloud Platform.
• While we value technical expertise, you do not need prior experience in the benefits or healthcare sectors to succeed here.

Perks and compensation

The annual base salary for this position is $140,000 to $161,000. We take a location-agnostic approach to pay, meaning your compensation is determined by your skills and experience rather than where you live. Our total rewards program includes:
