Software Engineer - .NET at Creative Chaos

We are Creative Chaos, a software development company that builds reliable server platforms and client applications for businesses across multiple industries. We are hiring a mid-level Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain .NET-based backend systems in a fully remote role based in Pakistan.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and estimate the effort needed for assigned tasks.
• Write clean, maintainable code and comprehensive unit tests that achieve at least 90 percent coverage.
• Develop RESTful APIs and backend components using .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, and Web API.
• Optimize code for security, performance, and scalability while following established design principles.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues to keep systems stable and bug-free.
• Manage source code with Git, track work in JIRA, and keep issue records up to date.
• Provide regular status updates and communicate directly with clients when needed.
• Research emerging technologies and continuously upgrade technical skills.

Must-haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• One to three years of professional experience building server-side applications.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft technologies and the .NET ecosystem, including .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, and Web API.
• Hands-on experience with Azure and AWS cloud platforms.
• Experience designing database schemas and working with relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL, as well as MongoDB.
• Proven ability to write unit tests and maintain high test coverage.
• Familiarity with GitHub, JIRA, and other collaboration tools.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Understanding of security standards, compliance requirements, and fundamental software design principles.

Nice-to-haves

• Basic knowledge of front-end technologies to support full-stack collaboration.
• Experience with additional schemaless databases beyond MongoDB.
