Software Engineer - ML Infrastructure at Voxel

The role

We are looking for a mid-level Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a hybrid position where you will focus on designing and implementing the systems that support our machine learning development. As a member of our perception team, you will work in a fast-paced environment where versatility is key. We need someone who is eager to tackle complex challenges across the entire software stack to help us scale our impact.

Core responsibilities

• Design and maintain the cloud infrastructure and distributed systems required for our MLOps workflows.
• Develop internal training frameworks that make working with large, distributed models efficient and intuitive for our research team.
• Build scalable data management pipelines that ensure high performance and reliability for our computer vision applications.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong foundation in software engineering and a passion for solving open-ended problems. We require the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field.
• Proven experience in software development with high proficiency in Python.
• A demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems independently.

While not required, we value candidates who possess a Master’s or PhD in a relevant field, at least two years of experience in infrastructure design, and hands-on expertise with Kubernetes. Experience shipping production software for MLOps or DevOps, as well as a background in computer vision, will set you apart.
