Software Engineer Internship at Databento

Role at a glance

We are seeking a motivated Software Engineer Intern to join our team for a 10-week program running from early June through August 2025. This is a remote position open to students located anywhere in the world. You will have the flexibility to work in your own timezone or align with Eastern Standard Time, and we offer the potential to extend your internship or transition into part-time work throughout the school year.

Your impact

• Contribute to projects across our entire technology stack, ranging from frontend user interfaces to backend APIs.

What you'll need

• Practical experience with C++ or Python, ideally demonstrated through personal projects, previous internships, or co-ops.
• A solid foundation in computer science, including coursework in algorithms, computer architecture, and operating systems.
• A strong grasp of software design patterns and industry best practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to thrive in a remote, collaborative environment.
• A genuine interest in the fast-paced world of fintech and a desire to learn about market microstructure.
