Role at a glance
This is a full-time senior Software Engineer position on our Infra/Systems team. The role is remote and open to candidates anywhere.
Your impact
- Design, build, and operate Convex's global cloud infrastructure so it stays fast and reliable as usage grows.
- Diagnose performance bottlenecks and strengthen system reliability through careful investigation and targeted improvements.
- Take ownership of high-priority projects, collaborate closely with the engineering team and CTO, and help shape the operational practices that will guide us as we scale.
What you'll need
We're looking for engineers with at least four years of backend experience building and running infrastructure at scale. You should bring a strong grasp of systems design, operational best practices, and service management, plus the ability to write clean, high-quality code. Experience scaling systems inside a high-growth startup is a plus, and familiarity with Rust is welcomed though not required. Above all, you should enjoy diving deep across the stack, value simplicity and pragmatism, and bring constructive energy to the team.
Perks and compensation
The salary range for this full-time position is greater than $200,000 plus equity and benefits. We also offer remote work flexibility and equity compensation.
