The opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our infrastructure team. In this role, you will be a guardian of our system's reliability, ensuring that our platform remains operational and performant as our customer base grows. Because our customers rely on us for their revenue-critical operations, you will take ownership of the infrastructure that powers everything from event ingestion and API services to invoicing and alerting. You will work closely with other engineering teams to build resilient, scalable systems that allow our product to evolve rapidly.

A day in the life

• You will lead efforts to improve system resiliency, including designing recovery mechanisms, managing tenant isolation, and handling sudden load spikes.
• You will build performance-critical infrastructure, such as real-time event processing systems, to support our growing customer base.
• You will partner with fellow engineers to enhance our observability and operability, ensuring we can debug issues quickly and deploy new features with confidence.

Who you are

You are a seasoned engineer with over 5 years of total software experience, including at least 4 years specifically within the infrastructure domain. You have a deep curiosity about failure modes, edge cases, and system bottlenecks, and you enjoy the challenge of investigating complex performance issues. You are comfortable mentoring others on best practices like risk mitigation and rollout strategies. While we value your technical expertise, we believe great engineers can learn any stack, so we welcome your application regardless of your specific background with our current tools, which include Python, TypeScript, React, PostgreSQL, Kafka, and AWS. You are proficient in English and excited to work in a hybrid environment based in the United States.
