We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team in a full-time capacity. At Opal, we are transforming identity security for modern enterprises by making the concept of least privilege access both practical and simple. We bridge the gap between security needs and operational efficiency, serving high-growth companies like Figma, Grammarly, and Databricks. Having raised over $32 million from investors like Greylock and Battery Ventures, we are scaling our platform with an experienced engineering team that has previously built systems at companies such as Slack and Meta.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the stability, security, and scalability of our platform while ensuring high performance.
- Take full ownership of essential infrastructure components and provide the systems necessary for our product engineers to succeed.
- Collaborate directly with leadership and the product team to shape our architectural roadmap and establish robust engineering processes.
Requirements
- You have at least 4 years of experience as a software engineer, specifically in building large-scale distributed systems.
- You are comfortable working with our core technology stack, which includes Kubernetes, Golang, Postgres, Redis, Terraform, GraphQL, TypeScript, and React.
- You possess hands-on experience managing and scaling cloud infrastructure on platforms like AWS or GCP.
- You thrive in ambiguous environments where you can take significant ownership and influence the direction of the business.
