At Imagen Technologies, we’re building an AI-powered platform that brings diagnostic imaging, results, and specialist guidance directly into primary care visits. Our technology condenses what used to be a months-long process into a single hour, and with more than $160 million in backing from Google Ventures and major clinical networks, we’re scaling from 500,000 patients across 16 states in 2023 to 1.5 million patients in 20-plus states this year, with plans to reach 5 million patients across 35 states by 2026.
What is this role?
We are hiring a Software Engineer, Infrastructure on a full-time basis. The position is open to mid-level engineers and is fully remote, with work conducted from anywhere.
What will you do?
- Own the technical vision and day-to-day operation of the cloud systems that power our medical imaging platform, ensuring they remain reliable, compliant, and ready to scale.
- Design, build, and maintain automated infrastructure using tools such as Terraform and Python, while advancing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices across the engineering organization.
- Lead incident response, implement disaster-recovery plans, and embed regulatory requirements such as HIPAA, SOC 2, HITRUST, and FDA guidelines into every layer of our cloud environment.
What makes you a great fit?
You bring at least three years of professional software development experience, including two or more years focused on DevOps or SRE work in agile settings. You are fluent in software design and DevOps practices, comfortable with CI/CD pipelines, and experienced in building highly available, auto-scaling architectures on AWS. Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code, especially Terraform, is a plus, and any background in healthcare technology or software as a medical device is welcomed. A bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience rounds out your profile. You communicate complex technical concepts clearly, pay close attention to detail, and thrive in a collaborative, mission-driven environment. All work is conducted in English.
What's in it for you?
The base salary range for this role is $100,000 – $130,000. In addition, we offer equity compensation, medical insurance, generous paid time off, and dedicated professional development support. Because we are a remote-first company, you can work from anywhere while contributing to technology that improves patient outcomes every day.
