Software Engineer, Infrastructure at VTS

What you bring

We are seeking a Mid-Level Software Engineer to join our Infrastructure team on a full-time basis. You will be based in our Toronto office, working in a hybrid model where you will spend 2 to 3 days per week on-site. Your primary focus will be designing, maintaining, and scaling the systems that power our global platform. You will be working with a robust stack including AWS, Kubernetes, Istio, Docker, Terraform, Python, and BASH.

• Design and manage resilient infrastructure solutions on AWS, including troubleshooting complex networking issues.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment processes while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless application integration.
• Monitor system performance and reliability while participating in on-call rotations to support our critical services.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have a solid foundation in DevOps or SRE practices. We look for candidates who hold a degree in Computer Science or Engineering, though equivalent professional experience is also highly valued. You should be proficient in cloud environments, specifically AWS, and have hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform. Strong scripting abilities in Python or BASH are essential, as is a deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines. Beyond your technical hard skills, we value excellent problem-solving abilities and a collaborative spirit. As a polyglot engineering team, we appreciate candidates who are curious and eager to learn new frameworks and languages.
