We operate as a remote-first organization with a vibrant culture, and we are looking for a talented Software Engineer to join our infrastructure and SRE team to help scale our Appchains platform.

Key outcomes

• Take full ownership of critical infrastructure components and drive their ongoing development.
• Design and deploy scalable infrastructure across Google Cloud and bare metal providers.
• Build and maintain efficient CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable software releases.
• Implement comprehensive monitoring and observability solutions to maintain the health of our distributed blockchain systems.
• Develop internal tooling that empowers our engineering team and the broader web3 community.
• Collaborate with software engineers to foster best practices in infrastructure management.
• Apply SRE principles to ensure high availability and stability of our services.
• Participate in on-call rotations to manage and resolve production incidents.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Integrate security best practices directly into our development lifecycle.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of professional experience in SRE, DevOps, or backend engineering, particularly with distributed systems.
• Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Practical experience with containerization using Docker and orchestration via Kubernetes.
• Proven ability to manage CI/CD workflows and cloud platforms like Google Cloud.
• Experience using monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana.
• Solid scripting skills in Python or Bash.
• A foundational understanding of blockchain technology and networking concepts like DNS and firewalls.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a remote, distributed team environment.
• A strong desire to learn and work with new technologies, including Rust.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience programming in Rust, Go, or C++.
• Direct familiarity with web3 technologies and blockchain protocols like Ethereum.
• Basic knowledge of smart contract development, such as Solidity.
• Experience working with rollup frameworks.
• Familiarity with frontend frameworks like React.
