Role at a glance
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Infrastructure Systems team. This is a full-time, on-site role based in San Francisco. You will play a critical part in scaling our platform as our customer base grows, focusing on the architecture and reliability of our global cloud infrastructure.
Your impact
- Design, implement, and maintain our global cloud infrastructure while writing high-quality systems and database code.
- Proactively investigate system performance and reliability to ensure our platform remains robust as we scale.
- Collaborate closely with our engineering team to establish best practices and define the future architecture of our services.
What you'll need
- At least 5 years of backend engineering experience, specifically in building and operating large-scale infrastructure.
- A deep understanding of systems design, operational best practices, and the demands of managing live, user-facing services.
- Experience working in a high-growth startup environment where you have navigated scaling challenges.
- A pragmatic mindset that prioritizes simplicity and elegant solutions over unnecessary complexity.
- Strong communication skills in English and a desire to work in-person with our team.
- Proficiency in Rust is considered a significant plus.
- A self-directed, tenacious approach to problem-solving and a positive, constructive attitude toward team collaboration.
Perks and compensation
The salary for this position is 200,000 USD. In addition to the base salary, you will receive equity in the company and access to our full benefits package.
