What is this role?

We are looking for a Software Engineer II (Backend) to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a mid-level position that offers the flexibility of remote work. You will be a vital part of our founding team for a new development center, where you will help shape our culture and build mission-critical products from the ground up.

What will you do?

• Design and implement robust, scalable APIs and backend systems that power our enterprise learning programs.
• Develop and deploy high-quality code using Java or Scala while tracking key service level indicators to ensure platform reliability.
• Analyze performance metrics and conduct A/B testing to generate data-driven insights that inform future product improvements.

What makes you a great fit?

To be successful in this role, you should have 3 to 6 years of experience in backend engineering and a strong command of the English language. We are looking for someone who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment and enjoys the challenge of building new products. Your technical toolkit should include:

• Proven expertise in building APIs and writing comprehensive automated tests.
• Hands-on experience with cloud services, streaming technologies, and managing large data sets.
• A strong ability to debug complex issues and work independently with minimal supervision.
• A data-driven mindset and a commitment to maintaining high engineering standards.
