The opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Full-stack Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis. In this role, you will be a key contributor to our engineering roadmap, taking ownership of projects from the initial specification phase through to shipping and scaling. You will work in a highly collaborative environment, partnering with tax analysts, designers, and our go-to-market team to translate complex tax regulations into intuitive, delightful software. This position is perfect for someone who thrives in a startup environment, enjoys solving difficult technical problems, and is eager to make a tangible impact on the financial lives of our users.

A day in the life

• You will design and build robust tools and frameworks that allow our tax analysts to validate calculations with speed and precision.
• You will develop and expand our partner-facing APIs to ensure that our integrations remain seamless, intuitive, and highly reliable.
• You will create high-quality user interfaces for our embedded tax platform, turning intricate tax code into a smooth experience for the end user.

Who you are

We are looking for a seasoned engineer with 4 to 6 plus years of professional experience. You should be comfortable working across the entire stack, including frontend, backend, and infrastructure components. We value candidates who possess an ownership mindset and are willing to step outside of their comfort zone to learn new systems or domains. Proficiency in English is required. While not mandatory, we would love to see experience in fintech, bookkeeping, or tax-related software, as well as a history of working within high-scale systems. You should be based in San Francisco or New York City and be excited to work from our office at least three days each week.
