We are Emesent, a global leader in drone autonomy, LiDAR mapping, and data analytics. Since our founding in 2018, we have maintained deep roots with Australia's CSIRO to deliver revolutionary technology that maps the inaccessible. Our flagship product, Hovermap, is a versatile mobile scanning unit that uses advanced collision avoidance and autonomous flight to provide critical insights in mining, infrastructure, and surveying. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team of over 100 experts in Australia to help us push the boundaries of robotics and digitization.
What you'll be doing
- You will maintain and scale our React Native applications to ensure they remain robust and efficient.
- You will manage the integration of 3D rendering components to provide real-time environment visualization during operations.
- You will collaborate closely with our UX team and internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality features while mentoring junior team members on best practices.
What you'll bring
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong technical foundation and a passion for building complex systems. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- Expertise in React Native, TypeScript, JavaScript, and CSS.
- Proficiency in using Redux for state management.
- Experience with writing unit and functional tests using Detox or Jest.
- A proven ability to optimize application performance for both iOS and Android platforms.
- Knowledge of integrating third-party Java or C++ libraries within a React Native environment.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with a commitment to writing clean, well-documented code.
