Software Engineer (Front End) at Symmetry Software

We are looking for a Full Time, mid-level Software Engineer (Front End) to join our team. At Symmetry Software, we serve as the essential payroll infrastructure for software and payroll platforms, ensuring that over 64 million workers receive their paychecks accurately each year. Our suite of payroll tax APIs and software tools helps companies navigate complex tax compliance and build robust payroll applications. We are a collaborative group of 15 engineers who value diverse perspectives and support one another in solving complex technical challenges.

Responsibilities

• Partner with our design team to build beautiful, intuitive, and highly functional client-facing applications.
• Balance the need for code reusability with performance requirements to ensure our solutions remain fast and efficient.
• Collaborate closely with product management and design to identify customer needs, prototype new features, and iterate on solutions that our users rely on daily.

Requirements

• Three to five years of professional experience in client-side web development.
• Strong technical proficiency in Angular, React, and jQuery.
• Experience with backend development, specifically Spring Boot, is considered a significant plus.
• Solid understanding of SQL and relational database design principles.
• A commitment to writing well-documented, maintainable code and a strong appreciation for test-driven development.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

What we offer

We provide a competitive salary range of $135,000 to $161,000 USD per year, with final offers based on your specific expertise and experience. In addition to our compensation package, we offer the following benefit:

• Hybrid work flexibility, with office attendance required approximately 2 to 3 days per week for those based near our Scottsdale location.
