The role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Flutter to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a hybrid role based in South Africa. You will be a key contributor to our mobile ecosystem, working within a shared mono-repo to deliver high-quality features and maintain the Bash Mobile App. This position is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to help us deliver world-class shopping experiences.

Core responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Bash Mobile App by implementing new features and resolving technical issues.
• Refactor existing code into modern, scalable structures while contributing to our shared Flutter ecosystem.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver user-focused experiences and manage high-traffic products.

Skills and experience

• Three to five years of relevant professional experience working with Flutter.
• Proven ability to build production-ready mobile applications and experience bridging native and Flutter code through plugins and packages.
• A strong foundation in software engineering, with a preference for those holding a BSc in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with REST and GraphQL APIs, as well as CI/CD pipelines for mobile, is highly valued.
• Knowledge of mobile design patterns like BLoC, MVVM, or MVP is considered a significant advantage.
