The role

We are looking for a Mid-Level Software Engineer to join our Data Engineering team. This is a full-time position based in the United States. We operate with a hybrid work model, balancing collaboration with the flexibility of remote work. You will play a vital role in shaping the infrastructure that makes our real-time sports data products possible.

Core responsibilities

• Design and maintain reliable ETL pipelines using Python, SQL, Prefect, Databricks, Kafka, and PostgreSQL while adhering to data governance standards.
• Develop and enhance our Django REST API to ensure master data is effectively served across the entire organization.
• Transform raw sports data from diverse sources into a unified, centralized data warehouse and organize product information within our Databricks Lakehouse.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong foundation in data-oriented software development. We require the following qualifications:

• At least 2 years of professional experience in data-oriented software engineering.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL is essential.
• A solid understanding of data modeling best practices.
• Practical experience building spark applications using PySpark.

Compensation and benefits
