Software Engineer - Backend at MyCarrier

We are MyCarrier, a fast-growing logistics technology company that connects shippers directly with carriers through a digital shipment planning, execution, and visibility platform. We process over $700 million in less-than-truckload freight annually and partner with 15 of the 25 largest LTL carriers in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Design and build both frontend and backend architecture for our cloud-hosted applications.
• Collaborate with designers to implement web features and user interactions.
• Develop APIs and create supporting servers and databases.
• Ensure applications remain responsive and optimized across devices and platforms.
• Lead projects from initial concept through final delivery while meeting both technical and business requirements.
• Stay current with emerging web technologies and programming practices.

Must-haves

• 6 or more years of experience developing customer-facing applications.
• 4 or more years working with the Microsoft technology stack, including .NET or .NET Core, WebAPI, IIS, Azure, and Entity Framework or EF Core.
• 2 or more years of hands-on experience with Angular.
• 2 or more years mentoring or coaching other developers.
• Experience with microservice and serverless architectures.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Azure Functions, Redis, and Event Hub.
• Experience authoring component libraries using npm or NuGet and managing packages through Azure DevOps Artifacts.
• Strong knowledge of C#, Entity Framework, and Angular.
• Proficiency with MS SQL, MongoDB, SQL queries, and stored procedures.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience totaling at least four years.
• Fluency in English.
