Software Engineer (Backend) at Referral Job Board

At Cohesity, we provide a web-scale, hybrid cloud infrastructure designed to simplify data management. We are currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Product and Sustenance Engineering team in India. In this role, you will contribute to the development of tools, scripts, and features that streamline how our technology is sold, deployed, and maintained. We value engineers who are not only skilled at building features but also possess a sharp ability to diagnose issues within complex codebases. You will work closely with product managers, customer support teams, and system engineers to ensure our platform remains scalable and high-performing.

Key outcomes

• Design, develop, and maintain innovative solutions for both our on-premise and SaaS offerings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional leads and product management to influence the technical and business strategy for our scalable platform.
• Implement robust product features across our cloud and on-premise environments.
• Champion test-driven development to ensure the delivery of high-quality, resilient enterprise solutions.
• Foster a culture of team ownership and accountability to continuously improve our development processes.
• Participate actively in our Agile development cycles.

Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science or Engineering, such as a BE, B.Tech, ME, M.Tech, or PhD.
• At least 4 years of professional experience in developing and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
• Strong proficiency in coding with C++, Golang, or Java.
• A self-starting mindset with a passion for learning and solving complex technical problems.
• Excellent analytical and debugging skills.
• A commitment to strong testing methodologies and building high-quality products.
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum development practices.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience working with Microservices architectures.
• Knowledge of SaaS platforms and cloud-native services.
