Role at a glance
We’re hiring a Senior Software Engineer – Backend on a full-time basis. The role is hybrid and based in Hawthorn, Melbourne. You’ll bring at least three years of hands-on .NET experience and a track record of shipping secure, scalable services.
Your impact
- Design, build and maintain the RESTful and gRPC APIs that power our web and mobile experiences, ensuring they stay performant as our user base grows.
- Take part in Agile ceremonies, contribute to solution design sessions and keep our codebase clean through thoughtful reviews, testing and adherence to security standards.
- Collaborate across product, design and support teams to turn complex financial requirements into reliable backend features that genuinely improve people’s financial lives.
What you'll need
You hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field-or the equivalent practical experience. You’re fluent in .NET 5/6/7/8, comfortable writing Controllers or Minimal APIs, and confident working with SQL Server, T-SQL, EF Core and LINQ. You know how to design clean RESTful APIs, debug effectively in Visual Studio and manage code with Git. Clear communication, a collaborative mindset and a genuine interest in solving meaningful problems round out the profile. Experience with gRPC, microservices, Docker, CI/CD pipelines or identity platforms such as Okta or Auth0 is a bonus, as is familiarity with React or Next.js.
