The opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our backend team on a full-time, on-site basis. In this role, you will be a core contributor to our distributed systems, ensuring that our infrastructure remains reliable, scalable, and secure as our customer base grows. You will work directly on the engines that power our code execution and workflow automation, helping us maintain a seamless experience for developers who rely on Superblocks to power their own internal operations.

A day in the life

• You will design and scale our distributed code execution engine, which allows users to run arbitrary JavaScript and Python code within our platform.
• You will architect and optimize our infrastructure for scheduled jobs and workflows, ensuring high performance and fault tolerance under increasing demand.
• You will develop new services and APIs that serve as the backbone of our application, while building out a plug and play framework for new integrations.

Who you are

You are a seasoned engineer who thrives in collaborative environments where strategic product and technical decisions are debated openly. You possess a deep understanding of SaaS architectures, including cloud storage, networking, security protocols like OAuth2, and deployment strategies. You are an expert in NodeJS, Express, and Postgres, and you have significant experience operating cloud-native applications. We value self-starters who are driven by customer empathy and a commitment to writing secure, well-tested code. While not required, we would love to hear about your experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Redis, and Kafka.
