The opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our backend team in the United Kingdom. In this full-time, hybrid role, you will play a vital part in designing and evolving our core payments infrastructure and B2B APIs. You will work within a cloud-native, event-driven environment where your technical expertise will directly influence how we scale and deliver value to our customers. This position is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to help us build a world-class financial platform.

A day in the life

• You will design and evolve our B2B API and payments infrastructure, ensuring our systems remain robust and scalable.
• You will collaborate closely with our product and UX teams to solve complex problems and drive new feature discovery.
• You will contribute to engineering-wide initiatives, including architecture decisions, technical discussions, and mentoring others through knowledge sharing and pairing.

Who you are

You are an experienced engineer with at least 5 years of professional experience, ideally within financial services or high-volume transaction environments like gaming, streaming, or eCommerce. You are comfortable working in a hybrid capacity and possess the following skills:

• Strong proficiency with Node.js, TypeScript, and NestJS.
• Experience designing and provisioning cloud infrastructure using AWS and Terraform.
• A solid understanding of Kubernetes, containerized deployments, and building secure, public-facing REST APIs.
• A delivery-focused mindset with a deep understanding of continuous delivery, test automation, and distributed systems.
• The ability to work independently, navigate ambiguity, and drive solutions in a fast-paced start-up.
• Fluency in English.
