The opportunity

As a Software Engineer for Backend & Integrations, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our technical foundation. This is a full-time, remote position where you will have significant ownership over our systems from the start. You will be responsible for building scalable backend architecture that supports our growing user base and ensuring our platform remains performant and reliable. You will work closely with our product and design teams to turn complex workflows into intuitive, automated systems, helping us reach the tens of thousands of businesses that have yet to discover our solutions.

A day in the life

• Develop and maintain scalable backend systems using Python and Flask, ensuring our GraphQL layer is optimized for high-speed performance.
• Manage complex third-party integrations with payment processors, CRM platforms, and accounting software to create seamless business workflows.
• Deploy and manage infrastructure on AWS, utilizing services like ECS, DynamoDB, and Lambdas while maintaining a rigorous testing culture through unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.

Who you are

You are a mid-level engineer with 2 to 5 years of experience at a product-driven company, ideally with some time spent in an early-stage startup environment. You have a strong grasp of Python, PostgreSQL, and GraphQL, and you are comfortable working within an AWS ecosystem. Beyond your technical skills, you are a curious and empathetic problem solver who views challenges from the customer's perspective. You are comfortable with change, thrive in fast-paced environments, and are excited to contribute to a team that values transparency and high-impact work. You are fluent in English and ready to collaborate with a distributed team.
