Software Engineer - Backend (E5) at Fountain

We are looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. At Fountain, we provide the leading enterprise solution for managing frontline workforces. Our automated platform helps companies like Stitch Fix, GoPuff, and sweetgreen onboard and manage over 14 million workers across more than 75 countries. Following a successful $185M Series C funding round in 2022, we are expanding our collaborative team of Fountaineers to continue building tools that empower frontline workers globally.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of the product delivery cycle, from initial planning and architecture to development and ongoing maintenance.
• Design, build, and test features while collaborating with product managers and designers to enhance our core technology stack.
• Ensure the security, reliability, and operational excellence of our products by maintaining high standards and reviewing the work of fellow developers.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience in software engineering with a focus on product-oriented development.
• Strong technical proficiency in TypeScript, cloud-first architecture, and modern software development practices.
• The ability to work with high levels of autonomy in a remote, globally distributed environment.
• Excellent communication skills in English, with proficiency in French considered a significant advantage.
• Experience with AWS, MongoDB, micro-services, and Agile methodologies is highly desirable.

What we offer
