Role at a glance
We are hiring a Junior Associate Software Engineer for a full-time position. This is a hybrid role that offers the flexibility to work from our modern office in Chelsea or remotely. You will be part of a high-performing team that leverages Google Cloud, Kubernetes, and a robust stack of Java and Scala to power our proprietary banking core.
Your impact
- You will take full ownership of business initiatives, guiding them from the initial discovery phase through system design and final launch.
- You will design and deliver large-scale, data-intensive applications that handle millions of daily transactions.
- You will help us set the bar for engineering excellence by improving our architecture, testing protocols, and monitoring practices.
What you'll need
We are looking for someone who is eager to learn and ready to contribute to a fast-paced environment. You should have a degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field, along with the following qualifications:
- Less than one year of professional software development experience.
- Production experience using Java or Scala.
- A solid understanding of cloud-hosted services, such as Google Cloud.
- Working knowledge of both RDBMS and NoSQL database systems.
- A strong grasp of concurrency and multi-threading concepts.
- Fluency in English.
