What is this role?
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our backend team on a full-time, on-site basis in New York City. This is a pivotal role for an experienced engineer who wants to build robust, scalable systems that handle massive volumes of data. You will be an early member of our engineering organization, working directly with industry experts to shape our architecture and product direction.
What will you do?
- Design, build, and maintain the core infrastructure that powers our entire product suite.
- Lead the architecture and implementation of distributed services, ensuring we balance performance, latency, and reliability.
- Collaborate on technical design reviews and help define our long-term technology roadmap as we scale to support billions of investors.
What makes you a great fit?
You should have at least five years of experience in backend engineering and a proven track record of building services in a large-scale production environment. We value candidates who have a high standard for their work and a strong desire to make a tangible impact. While we do not require a background in finance, you should be comfortable working in a high-performance, collaborative environment.
Key technical skills and qualities include:
- Proficiency with Go, Postgres, Kafka, and AWS.
- Deep experience architecting and developing distributed systems.
- Strong communication skills, a default toward transparency, and the ability to mentor others.
- Fluency in English.
