The opportunity

As a Senior Software Engineer on our Android team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our platform. You will work in a highly collaborative environment alongside our founders, designers, and data scientists to solve complex user problems. This is a full-time, remote position open to candidates across the U.S. We are looking for someone who wants to take ownership of technical solutions, influence our product strategy, and help us build robust features that foster genuine human connection on a global scale.

A day in the life

• You will build and ship high-quality, scalable features by writing clean and efficient code, while also implementing observability and monitoring to ensure our infrastructure remains rock-solid.
• You will actively contribute to our product strategy, using the app yourself and sharing your insights to help turn high-level visions into concrete, actionable roadmaps.
• You will collaborate daily with a talented cross-functional team, co-creating solutions that address user needs and teaching one another as you grow your technical skills.

Who you are

You are a seasoned Android engineer with at least four years of experience and a deep understanding of the Android ecosystem. You possess the following skills and attributes:

• Technical Mastery: You have expert-level knowledge of Kotlin and hands-on experience with Compose. You are comfortable navigating the entire stack, from build tools to complex UI implementation.
• User-Centric Mindset: You have a sharp eye for design and a passion for user psychology. You strive for pixel perfection and always consider the edge cases that impact the user experience.
• Ownership and Communication: You are an entrepreneurial builder who thrives in autonomous environments. You can communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical partners.
• Collaborative Spirit: You are a low-ego team player who values diversity and believes that the best innovations come from working together.
