At Flume Health, we are dedicated to bridging the gaps in the healthcare data ecosystem. Our cloud-native Relay platform acts as a central integration hub, allowing payers, administrators, and health solution providers to exchange data with unprecedented speed and security. We are currently looking for a senior-level Software Engineer to join our team and help us transform how healthcare data is mapped and validated through the power of AI. If you are passionate about building scalable, reliable systems that make a tangible impact on healthcare access, we would love to have you on board.
What you'll be doing
- You will design and architect sophisticated AI workflows that utilize large language models to generate and refine complex data mappings based on user specifications.
- You will build and maintain robust orchestration pipelines using Python and Airflow, incorporating intelligent feedback loops and validation checks to ensure high-quality, accurate outputs.
- You will collaborate closely with our product and platform teams to integrate these AI-driven processes into our core infrastructure, ensuring that every solution remains performant, traceable, and fully compliant with healthcare standards.
What you'll bring
- You have at least 3 years of professional software engineering experience, specifically within data, machine learning, or AI-focused product development.
- You possess strong proficiency in Python and are experienced with orchestration tools like Airflow.
- You have a solid background in integrating LLM APIs and applying prompt engineering techniques, such as RAG or iterative refinement loops.
- You are comfortable working in cloud-native environments and have practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- You are a clear communicator who can translate complex business requirements into explainable and repeatable technical workflows.
- You are fluent in English and ready to work in a remote-first environment, with the ability to travel for team meetings once per quarter.
What you'll get
We offer a competitive salary range of $150,000 to $180,000 USD. In addition to your compensation, you will receive the following benefits:
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
- A robust stock option plan that gives you a direct stake in our company's success.
- A 401k plan with a 4% company match.
- Flexible paid time off to ensure you have a healthy work-life balance.
- A work-from-home stipend to support your remote office setup.
