We are looking for a Lead Software Development Engineer in Test to join our team in India on a full-time, on-site basis. Our company is at the forefront of the financial sector, having established ourselves as the first regulated Open Banking and Open Finance provider across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Since 2019, we have processed billions of dollars and connected millions of accounts, enabling major partners like Binance, Careem, and Etisalat to build innovative financial products. We are currently scaling our operations with the support of significant funding from General Catalyst and Sequoia, and we need an experienced engineer to help us maintain the high standards of our critical banking infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and ongoing maintenance of our scalable, in-house automation frameworks to ensure the reliability of our complex Open Banking solutions.
- Champion quality standards by collaborating with product and DevOps teams to define robust testing strategies and enforce quality gates throughout the development lifecycle.
- Analyze system performance by executing functional and non-functional tests, identifying root causes for issues, and integrating improvements into our CI/CD pipelines.
Requirements
We are seeking a candidate who brings a strong background in engineering and a passion for building resilient systems. You should possess the following qualifications:
- At least 4 years of professional experience as an SDET or Automation Engineer, specifically in building and maintaining frameworks within production environments.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Strong programming proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and Python.
- Practical expertise with modern testing tools such as Playwright, WebdriverIO, or Selenium.
- Bonus points for experience with performance testing, observability tools like Grafana and Kibana, and a background in the FinTech or banking industry.
What we offer
Joining our team means you will be working on high-impact financial infrastructure in a fast-paced, innovative environment. We provide the following benefits to support our team members:
- A meaningful equity stake in the business to ensure long-term alignment with our success.
- Comprehensive private healthcare coverage.
- Flexible office hours to help you manage your work-life balance.
- The opportunity to work with a collaborative, high-performing team that values continuous learning and professional growth.
