The opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Software Developer to join our team in Bochum. In this role, you will be at the heart of our technical operations, focusing on the development and evolution of our web applications. You will play a key part in maintaining our current infrastructure while helping us modernize our tech stack. This position is a full-time, hybrid role that offers the perfect balance of collaborative office time and the flexibility of remote work.

A day in the life

• You will take ownership of our Laravel and PHP-based portals, ensuring they remain robust, secure, and scalable as we grow.
• You will work alongside our product and engineering teams to design and implement new features, utilizing modern APIs and containerized workflows.
• You will contribute to our CI/CD pipelines and explore emerging technologies, such as Java or modern JavaScript frameworks, to ensure our services stay ahead of the curve.

Who you are

You are a curious, collaborative developer with a solid foundation in computer science and a passion for building high-quality web applications. You thrive in environments that value learning and technical excellence. Your profile includes:

• Significant experience in modern web development with a strong command of PHP and Laravel.
• A good understanding of Docker, CI/CD, Linux, and API design.
• Familiarity with both relational and NoSQL databases, along with an interest in cloud platforms like Azure.
• An interest in exploring modern JavaScript frameworks or Java-based backends like Spring Boot.
• Fluency in English and a proactive mindset toward problem-solving.
