We are seeking a proactive Senior Software Developer in Test to join our team in Saudi Arabia. At Lean, we are building the region's most valuable Open Banking platform, enabling companies to connect seamlessly to user bank accounts for real-time payments and data retrieval. Our technology supports major clients like Tabby, Tamara, and Tawuniya, and we have processed hundreds of millions of dollars to date. We are committed to creating an inclusive financial ecosystem across the MENAP region, and we need a dedicated professional to help us maintain the high quality and reliability of our products.
Key outcomes
- Design, build, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks for both UI and API testing using tools like Playwright and WebdriverIO.
- Develop comprehensive test plans and cases based on functional and non-functional requirements.
- Collaborate closely with product managers and developers to ensure end-to-end test coverage and clarify technical specifications.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve overall software quality.
- Champion the continuous improvement of our testing methodologies and internal tools.
- Manage and prioritize testing activities independently while taking full ownership of your deliverables.
- Troubleshoot production issues and assist in replicating defects to ensure rapid resolution.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on implementing automation solutions.
- Proven hands-on expertise using Playwright and WebdriverIO.
- Strong background in API testing.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language, such as JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous approach to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Arabic.
- The ability to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with performance testing tools such as k6, JMeter, or LoadRunner.
- Prior experience working within the payments domain or with complex financial technologies.
- Hands-on experience with mobile automation frameworks.
