About the Role
This is a full-time, remote position for a senior-level developer. In this role, you will take the lead on complex automation projects, ensuring the stability and security of our infrastructure. You will work independently to solve intricate technical challenges while collaborating across business units to mentor junior team members and drive innovation within our product offerings.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement automated solutions for server deployment, diagnostics, and remediation to improve service restoration speeds.
- Lead the creation of system enhancements that boost the reliability and performance of our existing automation frameworks.
- Oversee comprehensive testing plans, document scripts, and provide operational support to ensure our platforms meet the highest standards of quality.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should possess a strong foundation in software engineering and a commitment to technical excellence. We look for the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
- Five to seven years of experience in technical engineering, with at least three years specifically focused on automation, server deployment, and diagnostics.
- Proficiency in Python and JavaScript, along with a deep understanding of Linux environments.
- Expertise in infrastructure and orchestration tools such as Docker, Ansible, and Terraform.
- Solid grasp of Git for version control, CI/CD pipelines, and network fundamentals including DNS, SMTP, and TCP/IP.
- Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies and a collaborative mindset.
- An RHCE certification is preferred but not mandatory for those with a Linux specialization.
