Openprovider is an ICANN-accredited domain registrar that has been operating since 2004. Based in Rotterdam, we have grown into a fully remote organization with over 100 team members working across more than 20 countries. Our mission is to provide every business with a trusted digital identity, and we are currently shifting the industry from a traditional transactional model toward a customer-centric, subscription-based approach. We are looking for a Software Architect to join our team on a full-time, remote basis to help us build and refine our high-level design strategies.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain the Software Architecture High Level Design (SAHLD) to ensure our solutions meet all business requirements.
- Design and implement robust API management strategies using technologies like REST, XML, and gRPC.
- Collaborate closely with our development teams to ensure that all software solutions remain scalable, secure, and maintainable while adhering to ISO 27001 protocols.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong background in software architecture and a passion for building high-quality systems. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in software architecture, solution design, and API development.
- Proficiency with modern PHP frameworks, such as Symfony or Laravel, alongside experience with Docker and PHPUnit.
- Strong technical knowledge of SaaS delivery frameworks, SOLID principles, GRASP, and various design patterns.
- Experience working with MySQL or PostgreSQL databases and message brokers like RabbitMQ or Kafka.
- A good command of the English language and the ability to solve complex problems independently or within a team.
