Our mission is to make healthcare systems more agile, efficient, and resilient by providing the data-driven insights and analytics necessary to forecast and shape the future of medical care. We are a team dedicated to innovation, and we are proud to be recognized as a Great Place to Work in both the technology and healthcare sectors.
The role
We are seeking a Senior Software Architect to join our Platform Services division on a full-time, remote basis. This is a pivotal role for someone who thrives on building foundational capabilities. You will be responsible for designing the shared services and platform features that power all of our SaaS products, ensuring that our engineers have the scalable, secure, and consistent tools they need to build world-class experiences.
Core responsibilities
- Define the technical direction for your product area by creating scalable, secure, and maintainable architectural designs that prepare our teams for upcoming development cycles.
- Collaborate closely with product management, design, and development leadership to ensure that technical solutions are aligned with our business goals and effectively implemented from discovery through production.
- Establish engineering standards and manage architectural debt while mentoring technical leads to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement across the platform.
Skills and experience
We are looking for a hands-on architect with over 10 years of experience in software engineering and distributed systems. To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure, including cloud-native architecture, security, and identity management.
- Strong proficiency in API design, microservices, and event-driven architecture.
- Extensive knowledge of identity and access management protocols such as OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and SAML.
- Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
- A platform-first mindset with a passion for leveraging AI-powered development tools to enhance productivity and code quality.
- Excellent communication skills, allowing you to bridge the gap between complex technical strategies and business objectives.
Compensation and benefits
We believe in supporting the well-being of our team through a flexible and comprehensive benefits package, which includes:
- Flexible work hours and a recurring hybrid work allowance.
- Remote work options that prioritize the balance between operational needs and personal flexibility.
- 4 to 6 weeks of paid vacation per year, plus 5 additional paid personal days.
- A complete group insurance plan starting on your first day.
- A group RRSP and DPSP plan with employer contributions.
- An annual wellness allowance and access to the Lumino Health telehealth application.
