What is this role?
We are looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our team on a contractor basis. This is a remote position for someone based in the Eastern Time Zone of Canada. In this role, you will be a key player in maintaining the health of our platform, ensuring that we continue to provide top-tier service to our customers as we scale our operations.
What will you do?
- Lead cross-functional teams through the identification, triage, and resolution of critical incidents to ensure swift service restoration.
- Utilize advanced monitoring tools to observe system performance, detect anomalies, and manage alerts based on our specific service level agreements.
- Conduct thorough post-mortem analyses and drive the implementation of correction of error processes to prevent future issues and improve overall system reliability.
What makes you a great fit?
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in SaaS environments and a deep understanding of incident management. We are looking for someone who communicates clearly and can bridge the gap between technical operations and business stakeholders.
- You have at least 5 years of experience working with APM, API, and infrastructure monitoring tools.
- You are comfortable working within cloud-based deployment environments and have a solid grasp of programming constructs.
- You possess excellent analytical skills and a high sense of urgency when it comes to resolving technical challenges.
- You are fluent in English and currently reside in the Eastern Time Zone of Canada.
