Acceldata is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer
We are looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our team in India. You will work alongside a group of highly skilled engineers to deliver Acceldata’s support services, focusing on improving the availability, scalability, and performance of our products and our customers' complex data lake environments.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior team members to enhance the reliability and performance of enterprise production services.
- Provide hands-on support for the implementation and troubleshooting of Hadoop data lake clusters.
- Learn to stabilize, tune, and manage Hadoop ecosystems within diverse, vendor-agnostic environments.
- Offer technical assistance for data lake clusters distributed across multiple data centers.
- Diagnose and resolve issues across the full technology stack, including hardware, software, applications, and network infrastructure.
- Engage directly with customers to understand their concerns and provide empathetic, effective solutions.
Must-haves
- At least 5 years of professional experience working with distributed systems, cloud environments, or data management services.
- Strong technical proficiency with Hadoop technologies, specifically HDFS, YARN, and Hive/Impala.
- Practical experience with Kafka, NiFi, Ambari, and Cloudera Manager.
- Advanced Linux skills, including the ability to configure, tune, and troubleshoot both RedHat and Debian-based distributions.
- Excellent communication skills in English to support our customer success initiatives.

- Prior exposure to data security practices and data engineering principles within Hadoop environments.
