At Pactum, we are changing the way the world does business. We have built an AI-driven system that handles complex negotiations automatically through a chat interface, helping global enterprises optimize their procurement value chains. By creating value out of thin air, we are setting a new standard for how companies interact with their suppliers. We are a fast-growing startup backed by 55 million dollars in funding from partners like Maersk and Docusign, and we are looking for ambitious people to help us scale our vision.
The opportunity
We are looking for a Junior Site Reliability Engineer to join our infrastructure team. This is a unique chance to launch your career at a company that is defining a new category of software. You will work alongside experienced engineers to ensure our platform remains stable, performant, and scalable as we support some of the largest companies in the world. We value your curiosity and drive to learn over extensive prior experience, and we are committed to helping you grow into a top-tier engineer.
A day in the life
- You will dive into our Google Cloud Platform environment to build and maintain highly available systems that keep our negotiation engine running smoothly.
- You will use Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform to automate our processes, ensuring our setup is both robust and easy to manage.
- You will develop expertise in observability, creating the tools and monitoring components that allow our development teams to proactively identify and resolve technical challenges.
Who you are
You are a motivated individual with a passion for technology and a desire to solve complex problems. You communicate clearly, work well in a team, and are always looking for ways to improve your skills through feedback. You should have a solid foundation in computer science, ideally supported by a relevant degree. We are looking for someone who brings the following:
- A strong grasp of cloud computing concepts and a desire to master Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with Linux operating systems and command-line interfaces.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash or Python.
- An eagerness to learn, a proactive mindset, and the ability to explain the reasoning behind your technical decisions.
Why you'll love it here
We believe that our people are our greatest asset, and we work hard to foster a culture that is collaborative, inclusive, and innovative. When you join our team, you can expect the following benefits:
- Remote work flexibility that allows you to work from anywhere.
- Unlimited vacation to ensure you have the time you need to recharge.
- Flexible hours to help you maintain a healthy work-life balance.
We know that imposter syndrome and the confidence gap can sometimes hold great candidates back. Please consider applying even if you do not meet every single requirement listed here, as we would love to learn more about you.
