We are C3 AI, a leading enterprise software provider dedicated to accelerating digital transformation through our comprehensive AI platform. We are looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our team on-site at our headquarters in Redwood City, California.
Responsibilities
- Ensure high system availability and uptime by meeting all performance and functional service level agreements.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive monitoring and alerting systems for our critical infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot complex service issues and implement automated solutions to prevent future occurrences.
- Contribute to the design and architecture of our platform standards and support methods.
- Lead automation and scripting efforts to simplify system updates and upgrades.
- Build and manage the tools and frameworks necessary to optimize our deployment cycles.
- Collaborate effectively across our engineering and services departments.
Must-haves
- Proven experience operating scalable, fault-tolerant infrastructure on Linux, Kubernetes, and JVM environments within public clouds like AWS and GCP.
- Strong background in Linux operating systems, networking fundamentals, and database architecture.
- Practical experience managing, upgrading, and debugging Kubernetes clusters.
- Proficiency with NoSQL databases, such as Cassandra.
- Experience using configuration management tools and Infrastructure as Code, including Ansible or Terraform.
- Strong scripting skills in Python or Bash for system monitoring and automation.
- A background in DevOps or system administration for commercial SaaS products.
- Excellent critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- A Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Fluency in English.
