At Valarian, we are dedicated to ushering in a new era of digital sovereignty. We understand that as global regulations regarding data privacy and protection become increasingly complex, multinational enterprises struggle to keep their communication tools compliant. Our platform solves this by allowing organizations to harmonize security and efficiency across any environment, whether that is on-premise, in the cloud, or a hybrid setup. By integrating seamlessly with tools like Microsoft Teams and WhatsApp, we ensure that businesses can operate confidently across all jurisdictions worldwide.
The opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our team and help us empower every user. As we continue to scale our deployments, we need an engineer who can deliver real-time insights from massive datasets. This role is all about bridging the gap between development and operations, taking on the critical tasks that keep our systems resilient. You will be a key player in our cross-functional team, bringing fresh perspectives and a proactive mindset to help us build sustainable, high-performing solutions.
A day in the life
- You will analyze metrics from our applications and operating systems to perform performance tuning and identify faults before they impact our users.
- You will partner closely with our development teams to enhance our services through rigorous testing and streamlined release procedures.
- You will take ownership of platform management and capacity planning, using automation to create sustainable systems that can grow alongside our customer base.
Who you are
You are an experienced engineer who is comfortable coding beyond simple scripts and has a strong background in fields like Computer Science, Mathematics, or Software Engineering. We value curiosity and a flexible approach to learning new technologies, as we are always looking for the best tools to solve the problems in front of us. You should have at least three years of experience in a similar role and a proactive nature that drives you to identify bottlenecks before they become issues. Because we work with global clients, you should be comfortable collaborating across the organization and willing to travel internationally up to 25% of the time. Please note that this position requires you to be a US Citizen and proficient in English.
Why you'll love it here
We believe in building a culture rooted in compassion, inclusivity, and flexibility. We trust our team members to manage their own time and contribute in ways that allow them to be their best selves. When you join Valarian, you gain access to a variety of perks designed to support your well-being and professional growth:
- Equity compensation, so you have a stake in what you are building.
- A hybrid work environment that offers the flexibility to work remotely.
- Engaging company retreats and meetups that prioritize your work-life balance and help us build genuine connections as a team.
