Role at a glance
We are seeking a Junior SharePoint Designer to join us as a contractor for an approximately 12-month engagement. This is an on-site position based in the United States. You will be an integral part of our Engineering Content Management group, focusing on the design and implementation of efficient, user-friendly business applications.
Your impact
- Design and build robust SharePoint and web-based solutions that directly support our transit and district business units.
- Break down complex design requirements into actionable work items, while prioritizing tasks and tracking project progress to ensure high-quality, timely delivery.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to business analysts, helping to refine processes and ensure our team delivers excellent documentation and training for all new applications.
What you'll need
To be successful in this role, you should be a clear communicator who bridges the gap between technical teams and business users. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- At least 2 years of proven experience as a SharePoint Designer, specifically working with lists, libraries, and content types.
- A solid understanding of the application development life cycle and experience with business process re-engineering.
- Strong analytical skills paired with the ability to create clear, concise technical training materials.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Excellent organizational skills and a positive, collaborative approach to teamwork.
- Experience with Agile methodology and tools like Azure DevOps or Team Foundation Server is highly preferred.
- Fluency in English is required for this role.
