We are currently seeking an experienced Service Desk Engineer to join our IT department in Gibraltar. In this role, you will be a vital member of our collaborative team, providing essential technical support to both local and remote staff to ensure our operations run smoothly.
Key outcomes
- Provide responsive 1st and 2nd line technical support through our Jira Service Management system.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for employees using both in-person and remote desktop tools.
- Develop and maintain internal knowledge articles and user guides to improve self-service capabilities.
- Assist in the creation and delivery of technical training for our users.
- Manage IT asset procurement, inventory tracking, and invoice processing.
- Monitor and prioritize incoming support tickets to ensure high service standards are met.
- Collaborate with international teams and escalate complex technical challenges to specialized departments such as DevOps, InfoSec, and 3rd Line Support.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional experience in a Service Desk Engineer or similar technical support role.
- Strong proficiency in both written and spoken English.
- Advanced knowledge of Windows and Apple macOS operating systems.
- Experience managing user accounts within Active Directory, Okta, and Microsoft environments.
- Familiarity with enterprise tools such as Jira, Confluence, and various VPN solutions.
- Ability to troubleshoot mobile operating systems and diagnose fundamental network issues.
- A methodical approach to problem-solving with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Previous experience in mentoring or guiding junior team members.
